Hi Everyone,
I want everyone to know that today is a very, very, sad day…
My cousin’s 4 year old baby girl Addison “Addie” Parker just passed away.
About 4 days ago she was admitted to the hospital with a 500+ sugar count. She had not digested anything that could have drove her sugar up that high. She was perfectly beautiful and healthy in every-way. The medical team diagnosed her with diabetes which caused her sugar to spike so high. She went into a pain free coma and fought as hard as she could but today her little body could not continue. In her final minutes Addie’s family was with her. They listed to Rascal Flatts and enjoyed their final moments together.
My cousin, her husband, and their son are just good people and this type of thing should not happen to people who care for their family, others, and their community. My heart goes out to your family Micki and Daryl, I am sorry for your loss.
Being a new father of a 6 week old baby girl, I have just lost it. I can’t imagine what they are going through as a family. You never want to watch your child pass away. Your child should watch you pass away, that’s just how life works.
If any good can come out of this tragedy it is how Addie’s parents are as human beings. They didn’t get a miracle to save their child. They are however donating any organs that they can to give other parents a miracle to save another child’s life.
They have medical coverage but not 100% and will still need to cover an incredible amount of medical bills. Their family has already paid enough in so many other ways far beyond money and anyone can imagine.
They should not have to pay anymore.
They have created a way for donations to come in via PayPal.com to help cover medical expenses.
Anything that you donate is incredibly appreciated and welcome wether it is $1.00 or $1,000.00.
If you have kids please give them a hug and a kiss and tell them that you love them. If you have parents give them a hug and a kiss and tell them that you love them too!
